Tishani & Adam’s The Painswick Cotswolds Wedding Film

We have just watched the film and LOVE it! We were so lucky to have you at the wedding! We loved having you there and were so lucky to have found you.

I was super excited and privileged to have been chosen by Tishani and Adam to film their wedding day, as it wasn’t exactly on my doorstep. Their wedding was to be in the beautiful Cotswold countryside and the wonderful Painswick, but they liked my style of films and were happy to bring me over from the South-East to film their day. And I’m so pleased they did!

I know us Brit’s love to talk about the weather, but I had to mention it as there wasn’t a cloud in the sky all day and the mercury topped 28C at one point. You really can’t ask for more in this country!

After I’d somehow squeezed my family car through the old pretty cobbled streets of Painswick town, I set immediately to work capturing some aerial shots of the venue and surrounding countryside with my drone. It really wasn’t long before I had some beautiful bird’s eye views that would make great establishing shots for the film. All my wedding videography packages include the drone as standard.

The bridal prep was in an amazing suite on the top tier of the old hotel, with views stretching for miles and a gorgeous balcony that reminded me of Disney’s Repunzel! I used the old stonework on the balcony to frame my detail shots of the shoes and rings which worked really well. The room was overlooking the outdoor ceremony so wee had a great view of guests arriving and the atmosphere building!

The ceremony itself was outside (why wouldn’t you when the sun is shining!) and the sun provided some flattering backlight for the newlyweds walking down the aisle with confetti fluttering everywhere. Myself and Rachel (photographer) stood shoulder to shoulder simultaneously filming and snapping the moment whilst avoiding tripping as we walked backwards. It’s an art form I’ll have you know!

The day was so relaxed and the reception room was decorated beautifully (check out my Instagram story highlights) for the cutting cake and speeches. Off we went with the couple round the Cotswold streets to capture some golden hour clips of the bride and groom. Tishani’s wedding dress looked incredible all day, and was so elegant.

As the sun set, the couple showed of their moves on the dance floor (I say dance floor, it was the wonderful stone veranda where the ceremony was held), cue rapturous applause from their guests.
