Rowan & Sam’s Wedding Film

Rowan & Sam, what can I say? I loved filming Rowan & Sam’s wedding at Buxted Park Hotel, not least because the venue is just 10 minutes down the road from me! Nor because I would be working with one of my favourite photographers Joshua Gooding! But actually because Rowan & Sam had such a great attitude towards their wedding day. They wanted it to be fun, relaxed and enjoyable for their guests. And they were up for a laugh! Cue karaoke organised for the evening and of course the newlyweds up on stage singing their hearts out to Aersosmith “I don’t wanna miss a thing!”

My day started early, I wanted to capture some aerial shots with my drone of Buxted Park and the surrounding East Sussex countryside. Being a wedding videographer really is an honour capturing somebody’s special day, so I wanted to do my best to get some nice establishing shots before heading into the bridal prep to capture Rowan and her bridesmaids. They had a beautiful bridal suite at the top of the hotel which made for a stunning backdrop to the bridal preparations and also some great opportunities for me and Josh to capture the dress.

It was a beautiful summer’s day at Buxted and the ceremony was to be held in the orangery with lovely soft light filling the room. After the formalities Rowan & Sam greeted their guests as they made their way onto the lawn. Me and Josh whisked the couple away for 15 minutes towards the end of the drinks reception to capture some stunning imagery of the bride and groom in this gorgeous East Sussex country estate.

Highlight of the night was the karaoke, the guests were singing some belters and it really set the tone for the rest of the evening shinanigans!
